Yuna Kang is one of those girls that inspire us. Her rad style, fearless attitude and trick dominance simple leave us in awe. Her Instagram feed is full with daily clips of new tricks (and fun new tricks attempts!) and we love seeing the evolution she had had this past year. Yuna is not only a rad freestyler, she’s also into freeride and downhill.
She just released her latest video ‘100 Tricks Challenge by Yuna Kang’. Inspired by Jeff Ellis’s 100 Tricks Challenge she decided to make her own and voilá! Get ready to be mind-blown. Also, trick-naming on point.. so thanks for the tuition! Check it out:

We talked with Yuna for a bit about her longboard path, what she loves and what gives her the chills.
LGC: When did you started skating and why?
YK: I started skating in December 2012. There was a man in my college who learned how to ride a longboard in USA. He wrote an introduction about longboarding in the college’s web . It seemed to be very fun, so I asked him to teach me how to ride a longboard.
LGC: What is it that you like the most about skating?
YK: Until recently, my favorite part of skating was learning a new trick. Now I want to make a good and smooth dancing/trick line with several skills. But it is REALLY hard!!!
LGC: What’s your biggest challenge while you skate?
YK: I am a very coward person haha. So I’m scared to ride fast 🙁 The speed is my biggest challenge in my whole longboard life!
LGC: The Korean scene is really popular right now. How do you see the scene?
YK: Longboard dancing is soooo popular in Korea now. The whole Korean scene became bigger with dancing and freestyle but also the downhill/freeriding scene is getting bigger. I’m very happy because longboarding is a famous sports now but also I’m worried about the longboard-caused accidents due to the lack of safety gear or un-knowledge of certain sport rules.
Thank you Yuna! You’re amazing. Keep ripping, you inspire us all <3
