Before we start, if you still don’t know what Skateistan is we suggest you click HERE. Watch the video and find out how through skateboarding they have built one of the biggest movements to help kids in need and provide them with education, self-esteem and of course, skateboard fun.
We’ve been supporting Skateistan for a long time now. Promoting the movement, the movie and hosting the Spanish premieres for Skateistan The Movie: Four Wheels and a Board in Kabul in Madrid and Barcelona. Now it’s time to go a step further and become a Citizen of Skateistan:
Edited by renowned filmmaker Ty Evans (with whom we just shot our Bouygues ad) and featuring Skateistan’s community of students and staff, alongside legendary skaters Tony Hawk, Jamie Thomas, and Mimi Knoop.
They aim to rise 100.000$ in a month and we know that money will be put to it’s best use, so let’s keep Skateistan rolling!
Not only we’ve featured Skateistan plenty of times and support them as much as we can but we’ve also hosted the Spanish screenings of their movie Skateistan, Four wheels and a board in Kabul in Madrid & Barcelona. Skateistan is such an amazing project and it has been changing the lives of Afghan people since 2009.
Ride Channel just released a new video portraying the impact of Skateistan on Afghan girls. This is beautiful:
Thanks to Skateistan, skateboarding is now the largest sport for females in the country. Seriously, how amazing is that? Talking about impossibles… Go and make it count!
Features While-U-Wait, LLC is proud to announce the long overdue release of the ‘Cinema for Peace’ award-winning, 95 min. documentary ‘Skateistan – Four Wheels and a Board in Kabul’ on DVD.
