• Sick Stick: Customize your board!

We always tell people how important it is the moment when they make the decision to buy their boards. Usually, when you have made some research and know exactly what you want, the board would stay with you for years, it’s almost like buying a car or house or getting married. And to the contrary, if you buy a board based on aesthetical or economical reasons most likely you would regret and start looking to change it sooner rather than later.

However, even if you chose the right board, sometimes you can get bored of the default illustration or don’t even like it from the very beginning.

Weather if it’s for esthetical reasons or boredom, having a brand new look for our boards isn’t a problem anymore.

This brilliant idea came up one day to one of our dearest friends and super talented artist, HUGU.

Customized boards exists in the market. There are sites where you can upload your own design a get a deck or grip tape with a design made by you and have a shop to make some money out of it.

See for example: http://www.boardpusher.com/Bp/ or http://indigrip.com/

Hugu’s idea goes beyond. HUGU wants to customize your deck, the one that you love to shred and already got the hang out of, with an illustration that you can stick yourself on it. That’s the whole concept of Sick Stick. Don’t matter what type of board you ride or how worn out is it, Sick Stick concept aims to change your longboard, turning it into a completely new one with original graphic designs.

    Sick Stick works like this:

Que tipo de papael adhesivo usa?

Vinilo autoadhesivo opaco, no se transparenta el gráfico original de la tabla o los desperfectos de esta. Para asegurar su resistencia le hemos aplicado encima una capa de plástico protector.

Awesome – those designs are super cool for a longboard.

Also there is another site called Whatever Skateboards that is similar to what you mentioned where I made my custom longboard decks, and they’re sooooo awesome!

    Check it out here: http://www.whateverskateboards.com
